In compliance with Regulation (EU) 2022/2065 (Digital Services Act)
The Platform HeyStudent has established a Notice and Take Down Mechanism which allows Platform users to report the existence of suspected illegal content on the Platform, in compliance with Regulation (EU) 2022/2065 (Digital Services Act).
The concept of illegal content is defined on the basis of the EU and national legislative framework. Indicative examples of illegal content include the following:
Users may submit a report of suspected illegal content by sending an email to the email address legal@heystudent.com.
By submitting a report, the reporting party agrees that the report is submitted in good faith and that the information reported is true, accurate, and complete.
This email address serves also as a Single Point of Contact for Member State authorities (for sending orders to take action or orders to provide information on illegal content), the European Commission and the European Board for Digital Services.
Reports should be sufficiently detailed and accurate, clearly explaining why the content is considered to violate the law, and should be properly documented. Indicative information that should accompany the submission of a report includes: the type of alleged infringement, the link to the content on the Platform, any relevant photos, as well as explanation of the reasons why the information in question is suspected to constitute illegal content.

In the context of the Notice & Take Down Mechanism, the Company collects and processes personal data directly from the reporting party, such as: full name, email address, and any other information included in the report.
The personal data collected when submitting reports is processed in accordance with the legislation on the protection of personal data for the purposes of evaluating the reports and notifying the parties involved of the Company's decisions. The processing of data is based on the Company's compliance with legal obligations, as well as on the protection of the legitimate interests of both the Company and the parties involved.
The relevant data and reports are kept by the Company for a period of five (5) years, unless legal proceedings have been initiated or the law provides otherwise.
